About the Foundation

Rooted in clinical experience. Driven by science.

Elumind Foundation was established to bridge the gap between emerging brain health research and the professionals who need it most.

We work independently of commercial interests to deliver objective, evidence-based continuing professional development for physicians, nurses, and allied health professionals — alongside accessible programs for patients and communities.

The Foundation grew from over a decade of direct patient care through Elumind Centres for Brain Excellence, which has helped thousands of patients across the Lower Mainland navigate depression, anxiety, ADHD, PTSD, OCD, and treatment-resistant conditions. That clinical depth now informs every educational program we design.

As a registered BC Society and charitable organization, all programming remains education-first, free from pharmaceutical sponsorship influence, and committed to the highest standards of professional ethics.

Interdisciplinary

CFPC Mainpro+ Certification in progress. Elumind Foundation has applied to become an eligible CPD provider organization with the College of Family Physicians of Canada. Upon approval, accredited programs will award one Mainpro+ credit per contact hour of certified activity.

Dr. Kourosh Edalati

MD, FRCPC | Psychiatrist & Associate Professor, Simon Fraser University

Dr. Edalati is a board-certified psychiatrist with deep expertise in mood disorders, anxiety, ADHD, PTSD, and treatment-resistant conditions. As a faculty member at Simon Fraser University, he bridges the worlds of academic research and frontline clinical practice.

His commitment to brain health education shaped the founding of Elumind Foundation, a platform for sharing evidence-based knowledge beyond the clinic walls, reaching healthcare providers, students, and patients across Canada.

Dr. Edalati's teaching spans pharmacological, psychological, and neuromodulation approaches to mental health, grounding every Foundation program in genuine clinical expertise.

Conflict of Interest Policy

All directors, faculty, and speakers complete annual COI disclosure forms. Pharmaceutical and commercial relationships are disclosed prior to every CME activity.

Arm's-Length Operations

The Foundation operates independently from Elumind Centres for Brain Excellence Inc., with separate governance, finances, and decision-making to ensure educational objectivity.

Our full governance package — including Constitution & By-Laws, Conflict of Interest Policy, Privacy Policy, Investment Policy, Whistleblower Policy, and Records Retention Policy — is available upon request by accrediting bodies, funders, and partners.
